File Clerk - Temporary Appointment

The primary purpose of the file clerk position is to maintain accessible records and provide efficient service for direct and indirect patient care by managing the receipt and scanning of health documents in a timely and accurate manner. Other duties include:
Receipt, intake, scanning, importing, indexing, transfer, and destruction of all types of health and administrative information; Scanning various health information documents in a timely and accurate manner; Ensure all necessary health/administrative information/Non-VA/Fee reports are integrated into computer; Import and index information; Maintain confidentiality of all electronic health; Performs other miscellaneous administrative duties as assigned. Work Schedule:

This is a TEMPORARY appointment (not-to-exceed 1 year). This appointment may be renewed for additional service in accordance with Agency needs for 1 additional year. Temporary positions offer health insurance (if the employee is expected to work at least 130 hours per month for at least 90 days) but do not offer life insurance or retirement benefits and may be terminated at any time before the expiration date. The appointment to a Temporary position does not confer eligibility for promotion or reassignment to other positions or the ability to be non-competitively converted to permanent employment. A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. All experience listed on your resume must include the month and year start/end dates. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
